RESNA 1997, SIG-11 Business Meeting Agenda,
Sunday, June 22nd, 10:30am - Noon

1. Review of Conference Related Activities:
   • SIG-11 Paper / Platform session submissions, 17 papers were reviewed by 6 SIG members, only one paper was rejected.
   • SIG-11 related conference activities, 4 preconference workshops (not counting Fundamentals), 2 roundtables, 1 concurrent session, Developer's Forum, Computer Based EC Expo, others?
   • How to encourage more papers/workshops?
   • Developer's Forum later today, 6:30 - 8:30 pm, Computer Tech Lab.
     • do we wish to continue the Forum?
     • discussion of other ideas as how to sponsor the Forum
     • $100 voluntary fee, covers food and drink, could change to a cash bar, entrance fee (part of RESNA stuff), skip food and drink, change to vendor-run, ideas, etc. ?
       
       
2. Review of SIG Information on the RESNA Website:
   • http://www.resna.org/reshome.htm
   • http://www.resna.org/sigs/sig11/index.htm
   • proposal to add "personalized" membership information
     
     
3. Review of SIG Membership:
   • Decline in SIG-11 membership, 1991 SIG-11 had 307 paid members, in 1996 SIG-11 had 203 paid members, (RESNA paid membership also declined in the same time frame from 2430 to 1859)
     
     
4. Review of SIG Elections (voting results):
   • we had four candidates: Patty Benzing and Rich Simpson for Chair; Glen Ashlock and Patrick Patterson for Vice Chair
   • Chair Elect ('97 - '99): Patty Benzing
   • Vice Chair Elect ('97 - '99): Glen Ashlock
