Talking Lights
As a blind person walks down a hallway in search of a room he has never
visited, he must either memorize a list of long directions including the
number of steps and turns needed or he must be accompanied by a sighted
person. For the disabled, this limits their freedom and independence. A new
product, developed by researchers at Talking Lights LLC, Boston, and
Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, provides more efficient
communication for consumers in general, and particularly those with
disabilities.
