November 15, 1996 Greetings to SIG 11 members: This email is just a friendly reminder of the upcoming December 11th deadline for submitting papers to the platform, interactive, and/or computer demo sessions for RESNA '97 in Pittsburgh. Author kits are available from the RESNA homepage: . I'm also told that disk and paper copies of the author kits will be in the mail by November 15th. (Please contact the RESNA office if you do not receive one.) The Special Interest Group (SIG 11) on computer application welcomes all topics in the broad category of "computer access". However, if you are stumped for an idea, I've included a short list of possible subjects below. case studies (e.g., interfacing, computer access, ECU's, etc.) innovative uses of existing technology new products methods to increase "speed of access", (e.g., emulators, word prediction, etc.) workstation adaptations (input and output devices) ideas for making web pages more accessible (not just the how to, case studies on what you've done and how it worked out) uses of web technology to assist in accessibility, re: employment, classroom inclusion, etc. how to make multiple user workstations "accessible and secure" use of voice recognition built into operating systems (e.g., OS/2 Warp) If you have any questions or need help further developing an idea or writing a paper, please send me an email or give me a call. Please pass this email along to any colleagues who may be interested. Looking forward to seeing you in Pittsburgh.
