Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired Tactile Maps are on Display at the Kennedy Center From: Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired Weekly Newsletter - 07/26/2017 The Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired's Media and Accessible Design (MAD) Lab's tactile maps are now on display as part of an exhibition on inclusive design and technology. The exhibition, called “Artful Innovation: Inclusive Design and Technology”, is open at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC until August 30. Tactile floor plans and raised line drawings are on display alongside other pioneering designs like the Bradley Timepiece and more conceptual projects like life-sustaining wearables and this shirt that provides a tactile and visual experience of live music for people who are deaf.
