Mom Receives Honorary Degree after Attending Every Class with Son

For two years, Judy O'Connor went to every class with her son, Marty, to help
him earn his MBA from Chapman University. The university surprised her with
an honorary degree on Graduation Day.

The mother of a quadriplegic graduate student who accompanied her son to
every class and took notes was recognized with a surprise honorary degree at
his graduation ceremony on Saturday. Marty O'Connor, 29, was paralyzed in a
tragic fall in 2010.
