Brain Racers: How Paralyzed Athletes Won Gold in the Cyborg Olympics

For the paraplegic athletes and the neural engineers who comprised the Brain
Tweakers team, the world's first cyborg Olympics was a chance to prove the
power of human-machine collaboration. The team developed a brain-computer
interface (BCI) that read signals from the athletes' brains and translated
them into commands for avatars in a racing game. When the big day came, they
blasted past the competition in the BCI race.
