Wearable Walking Assistive Exoskeleton Robot, 2WA-EXO From: R&D 100 Conference Winners / Finalists To a healthy person who is capable of free actions, it's impossible to imagine what obstacles would be faced when he or she becomes paralyzed from the waist down. The exoskeleton robot is a significant invention benefiting human welfare in regaining the opportunity to stand up again. When the user puts on the Wearable Walking Assistive Exoskeleton Robot, 2WA-EXO, both hands will be holding a stick in each; one of the sticks is capable of selecting the action functions, including stand up, walk and sit down. The other stick is used for activating or ceasing actions. When the user has selected the action function, this product will voice out the action selected for the user to confirm whether the desired action has been selected; after the user has confirmed, it will give out three beeps after pressing the activation button on the other stick, allowing the user to be prepared for the action. Wearable Walking Assistive Exoskeleton Robot (2WA-EXO) is a unique walking assistive exoskeleton robot that allows people with lower extremity paralysis to independently transfer between wheelchair and exoskeleton; it provides intuitive control of walking and stopping with high-precision absolute posture detection and performs the most natural gait among exoskeletons worldwide.
