The application of pressure mapping has long been a beneficial technology in
the seating and positioning realm, traditionally assessing the compression
force between the seating surface and a client's contact area. Recent
research has emphasized not only the importance of incorporating this
pressure analysis into the overall seating assessment, but also the value it
holds in troubleshooting and identifying potential seating or pressure issues.
