decades, thanks to the Mobile Manual Standing Wheelchair, a new prototype
developed by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Users crank up the wheelchair model’s push rims to a standing position, then
wheel themselves around while standing—providing a range of motion much
closer to what people with full use of their legs have.
