App Lets Anyone See for the Blind

This nonprofit crowdsources sight for the blind.

Be My Eyes is an app that connects blind people with volunteer helpers from
around the world via live video chat.

With Be My Eyes, blind or visually impaired people can place a call to
sighted “helpers” through an iOS device. The helper receives a video of the
user’s surroundings and describes the area or answers a question with which
the user may need help.
