Mobilaser Designed to Aid Parkinson’s Disease Patients with At-Home Gait

ProtoKinetics, based in Havertown, PA, has introduced the Mobilaser, a new
product to aid individuals with Parkinsonian gait at home. The Mobilaser,
designed and researched at the Mayo Clinic, presents a visual cue to reduce
shuffling and freezing, according to a ProtoKinetics news release. The unit
attaches to a walker, wheelchair, or cane, and emits a red line on the floor
subject to the distance of the user's normal stride.
