MIT Working on Voice Commanded Robotic Wheelchair

MIT researchers are developing a robotic wheelchair that aims to
revolutionize the way people with progressive neurological diseases move
around in long-term care facilities.

The idea is that the wheelchair would be able to understand voice commands
and navigate to different areas, helping people with diseases such as
multiple sclerosis maintain the highest possible quality of life and retain
their independence, said Matthew Walter, a research scientist at MIT.
