Repositories for do it yourself assistive technology instruction From: RESNA AT-Forum Instructables - Assistive Technology http://www.instructables.com/tag/type-id/category-technology/channel-assistive-technology/ Tamara Vos-Draper --- Pinterest https://www.pinterest.com/ I've found nice collections of DIY projects on Pinterest. There are many people out there with Pinterest boards dedicated to DIY AT projects. We are busy adding content to the site. Our hope is that Assistive Technology Solutions (ATS) will become a community of people interested in designing, developing and fabricating assistive technology devices and willing to share their information. My best guess is that no more than about 5% of AT devices developed for people with disabilities ever get commercialized enabling people to actually buy the device. So much information, particularly engineering information, exists about fabricating these devices that by sharing that information people can fabricate the devices themselves or have them built. I encourage everyone to visit the ATS website, subscribe to the site (it's free) and look around and provide any feedback you have on the project and the website. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
