Called Touché, the system moves gesture recognition away from touchscreens and into everyday life. Everyday objects such as a tabletop, doorknob or lamp can recognize how a user is touching it and react to the interaction. At its most basic, you could lock a door with a touch, turn off a lamp by tapping it or use your sofa as a remote.
