Subject: User Testing -- Invitation to Participate [Sorry for duplicate postings - DJ] Good Afternoon - I thought some folks on the SIG-11 Distribution List might be interested in a small research project I'm conducting in Washington, DC and San Diego at CSUN. I'm also wondering if you could help me locate a few participants for this study, on very short notice. I'm conducting a small usability study in DC next week (Tuesday, March 8th). I'm looking for 4 participants with disabilities as follows: 1. One (1) wheelchair user who otherwise has full upper body range of motion in their arms and hands. 2. Three (3) persons with fine motor control disabilities, but otherwise would attempt to use a large touch screen interface (folks with RSI and MS are ideal) This is for research and each person is paid a $75 stipend. I know this means that Fed employees can't be compensated. But I'll take whoever I can get at this point. The test lasts about 30 minutes. AT CSUN, I'm looking for two (2) screen magnifier users who are experienced web and iPad users. If you are interested, please feel free to contact me directly, by email: mpaciello@paciellogroup.com For this test, each participant is paid $50.00. Again, the test last about 30 minutes. I apologize if it's inappropriate for me to recruit participants via this list; it's difficult finding potential subjects with disabilities. But I think most folks who know me understand that I am sincere and dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities to information and communication technology.
