New Mobile Arm Support System May Benefit Stroke Patients From: Rehab Management - 12/26/2011 A new, zero gravity mobile arm support system (MAS), designed to improve rehabilitation outcomes for stroke patients, was recently launched by Saebo Inc, Charlotte, NC. The device, called the SaeboMAS, is designed to assist stroke patients in task-specific training. The SaeboMAS is designed to address the lack of adequate upper-arm extremity strength in stroke patients. "The SaeboMAS will enable these patients to begin task-specific training that will increase range of function, improve strength, and ultimately, enhance functional independence," Henry Hoffman, Saebo's president, explains.
