New epilepsy treatment shows promise

An implanted stimulator, Neuropace, developed in the Bay Area could soon
change the lives of patients suffering from epilepsy. The device can sense
debilitating seizures before they strike and often interrupt them. Clinical
trials have been conducted and the company is now seeking FDA approval.
