JACO Robotic Arm for Powered Wheelchairs

JACO is a lightweight, very quiet, discreet, safe, and waterproof robotic arm
that attaches to any powered wheelchair. Its multifunctional hand works as an
extension of your own arms to assist you in your everyday activities. JACO
will also increase your reach by about one meter (three feet), allowing you
to pick up objects on the ground, in the freezer and even open a door. 

JACO is easily installed on any powered wheelchair, and can also be installed
on a bed or a desk. It is powered directly by the wheelchair's battery or,
with its adapter, through a wall outlet, and it consumes less energy than a
standard light bulb.  

Not only is JACO the first robust robotic arm with three fingers (for a
better grip) designed to help wheelchair bound users achieve more
independence, it also allows the user to experience a more expansive upper
body function.
