Processing Electromyographic Signals to Recognize Words

NASA's Ames Research Center has developed a speech-recognition method that
applies to words articulated by means of the tongue and throat muscles, but
are otherwise not voiced. The method could satisfy a need for speech
recognition in circumstances where normal speech poses a hazard, disturbs
listeners, or is difficult.
