Designed as a project at the University of Applied Arts in the Studio Industrial Design 2, Esslinger, the chair can traverse all terrains with it Galileo Wheel and can go up and down stairsways. The CARRIER was built with a "trap door" for use over a toilet and moves in all directions. --- CARRIER Robotic Wheelchair Can Ascend Stairs on Its Own Students at the University of Applied Arts at the Studio Industrial Design 2 Esslinger in Austria have created CARRIER — an advanced wheelchair design concept for handicapped and temporary disabled people. This robotic wheelchair concept tackles the difficulty for handicapped people to use the toilet, to go over stairs or to ascend inclines. More to it, it actually makes their whole day a lot more comfortable.
