Request for Speaker Proposals - Accessing Higher Ground Assistive Technology and Accessible Media in Higher Education November 8-11, 2005 University of Colorado, Boulder Keynote Speaker: Erik Weihenmayer Mt. Everest Climber & Author of "Touch the Top of the World: A Blind Man's Journey To Climb Farther Than The Eye Can See" The University of Colorado at Boulder invites speaker proposals for its 8th annual Accessing Higher Ground Conference. The conference, which takes place adjacent to the Boulder campus, focuses on the implementation and benefits of Assistive Technology in the university and college setting. Other topic areas include legal and policy issues, including ADA and 508 compliance; making campus media and information resources accessible, including Web pages and library resources. For the main conference, accepted out-of-town speakers will receive a 25% discount off conference registration fees. Local speakers will receive a 15% discount.
