You are invited to join the new Australian Rehabilitation & Assistive
Technology Association (ARATA) SIG on 'Human Perspectives of Technology'
(HPT-ARATA). This SIG is open to all members of ARATA, RESNA, AAATE, and
RESJA. This SIG will discuss human aspects of assistive technology that
relate to providing appropriate and desired interventions that have the
greatest likelihood of success, consumer use, and consumer satisfaction.  

Initially, the HPT-SIG plans to engage in two specific activities: 1)
advocacy for person-centred evaluation and outcomes standards, and 2)
distribution of guidelines/best practices for person-centred evaluation and
outcomes standards. 

Please join us and contribute to this international discussion. Give your
input to the development of standards and guidelines that can be used by
service providers and consumer groups world-wide.
