Jones Course Software Now Meets Accessibility Standards Jones Knowledge Inc.'s e-education online course management and delivery software has been upgraded to include features for visually impaired students, making it compliant with Section 508 of the federal Rehabilitation Act. Courses delivered via e-education can be used in conjunction with popular screen-reader applications such as JAWS and Window-Eyes, which dictate text, as well as with screen magnifiers such as MAGic and ZoomText, which enlarge online images for improved readability for visually impaired students. The company says it worked with a team from The Metropolitan State College of Denver's Combined Computer Access Center (http://thunder1.cudenver.edu//ccac/index.html) to ensure that the software they created worked successfully with existing accessibility tools. To further ensure compliance, the company says it used the Bobby compliant software tester.
