U. Maryland Program Boosts Kids' Emotional Development with Robotics

The PETS research team is a group of four students and nine children, started
in 1998. The team began its work to examine how children could learn to
express themselves through the use of robotics. The project's unexpected
success led researchers to expand on further possibilities and uses of the
technology. This expansion on the original design is geared at helping
children with physical disabilities in therapy.
