The Yuri Rubinsky Memorial World Wide Web Award At the last two International World Wide Web Conferences, SoftQuad has given an award honoring significant achievements in the infrastructure which has supported the ability to provide the World Wide Web. Last year, this award was renamed in honor of Yuri Rubinsky, co-founder of SoftQuad, and an early proponent of accessibility on the web. Former winners of this award include Douglas Engelbart for his work in Hypertext and Vinton Cerf for his pioneering Internet work.
