The Scibermed Virtual Institute (SVI) at http://www.scibermed.com/ is a
workplace for engineers, scientists, clinicians, medical managers, and policy
makers to cooperatively approach national healthcare issues by means of a
continually evolving management roadmap approach. SVI includes floors on
eight technology and five management-related areas. Each has its own
administrative suites; libraries with several search engines, links, archived
articles and audio-visuals; lounges for informal discussions; and conference
rooms for monthly presentations by discipline leaders (SVI provides a very
modest honorarium to each speaker!). There's also an Executive Boardroom for
commercially secure exchange of data, forms, drawings, renderings, etc.  

Subscription is free, the site being launched by the Center for Biomedical
Technology Innovation, an arm of the not-for-profit Biomedical Research
Foundation of NW Louisiana.
