Subject: Robotic Eyes

I am looking for information about research being done on robotic eyes. In 
some of the research it seems that this topic is being referred to as 
"computer vision". This information would be helpful for a person I am 
working with who had serious burns and would be willing to undergo 
experimental procedures to build and interface a robotic eye for his use. 
This would be human/machine interface and not just a stand-alone robotic eye 
used for manufacturing etc. Information can be forwarded back to me at the
