Help Needed to Review RESNA Conference Papers

12/13/2001

SIG-11 Members - we need your help in reviewing submitted RESNA Conferrence Papers in the "Computer Access and Use" Topic Area!!

This is your chance to be an active part of RESNA. There are no pre-requisites to being a reviewer. Please consider this a great holiday gift to your colleagues.

At this time, Individual Reviewer volunteers are needed for the scientific papers review. Typically, individuals volunteer to review concurrent session proposals OR papers. However, it is fine to volunteer for both. The important dates for the paper review process are listed at the bottom of this email. This may help you decide whether the review time-line fits with your schedule.

This year, RESNA has significantly altered the review process. Instead of all papers being reviewed by three volunteers, only those papers that are identified by the Topic Area Review Coordinator (TARC) as falling in the bottom 20% of their papers will be reviewed. All papers that are not marked as being in the bottom 20% will be accepted. RESNA has also changed the process by which papers are assigned to sessions. The majority of papers will be presented as posters, and the number of paper sessions will be reduced. Each paper session will have a single topic, which will be chosen by the members of the SIGs within each Topic Area.

Please send your name, e-mail address, telephone number and mailing address to Susan Leone at sleone@resna.org or via fax to 703/524-6630 as soon as possible if you are interested in volunteering. Please also inform Sharon Ferrell, SIG-11 Chair ferrels@st-lukes.org if you wish to volunteer.
