SIG-11 Members:

It is time to elect a new SIG Chair and Vice-Chair. The newly elected officers will serve from the 1999 RESNA conference in June until the conference in 2001 (a two-year term). I know this sounds like a long time, but it really goes very quickly. The following is a list of some of the responsibilities that the Chair and Vice-Chair share:

Run SIG business meeting at the RESNA annual conference

Remind members of upcoming deadlines for submitting course, session, and paper proposals

Organize reviews for courses, sessions, and papers (find reviewers, submit names to RESNA office, summarize results)

Submit roundtable topics

Organize Developers Forum

Coordinate submission of SIG-11 news articles for RESNA newsletter

Approve postings (news articles) for the distribution list

Please send all nominations directly to me.

If you are interested in running for either office and have questions, please call or send an e-mail to either Glen or myself (contact information below). Nominations will be accepted until February 23rd. The RESNA office will send ballots to all SIG-11 members with the names of nominees. Hopefully voting results will be available by late March and I will send a message out through the distribution list to everyone at that time.
