Computer Tech Lab Volunteers Wanted

Everyone should have their session times and RESNA preliminary programs so its time to start planning our RESNA conference schedules. Patty Benzing caught me in a weak moment and asked me to help Dennis Anson with the computer lab this year. I think we all agree that Dennis has done a fantastic job organizing and running the lab, so I hope you will also find it hard to say no when we ask for help in staffing the lab during the conference.

The lab will be open during conference from 8:30am to 5pm on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. So we will need help with staffing on those days. We will be setting up the lab on Friday and Saturday morning. We can have a couple of classes on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning to orient volunteers to the software and hardware in the lab.

Please contact me if you can volunteer. Let me know what times would be best for orientation and for your stint in the lab. If rehabilitation engineering, OT, or AT professors could encourage students to volunteer that would be appreciated. RESNA provides complimentary registrations for individuals who volunteer 16 total hours at the conference. This would be a great experience for students in RE programs and other related fields.

Thanks.
