Mark Peabody Augmentative Communication Consultant/Technologist ASSETT 117 Pleasant St., Dolloff Building Concord, NH 03301 603/226-2900 603/226-2907 fax mpeabody@nhaat.mv.com http://www.nhassistivetechnology.org Activities: ASSETT provides support services to all public schools in NH. We work with children with sensory impairments, vision, hearing, and communication needs. ASSETT as an agency works with the school teams in assisting in designing and implementing educational interventions in these areas. We are not an evaluation service. We provide the followup support in integrating the evaluation recommendations into the classroom. Interests: I was a computer access evaluator for UCPA/NJ - (Fred Tchang's shop). I am now running a technology education center. This is a lab where consumers of all ages can come in and try out software and assistive hardware to see if it meets their needs. We will lend out certain devices for consumers to try on a one month trial loan period. Also, I am the sole computer geek in the building, so all that stuff falls on me. Resources: Open for tours and visits. Interact with RESNA members on the listserv in assisting to find new, different solutions to computer access questions. If I get funding to go to RESNA, I could help in the computer lab. Also, I am designing followup studies for outcomes in the area of assistive technology interventions.
