There are a few exciting changes taking place within Microsoft's Accessible
Technology Group (ATG). Madelyn Bryant McIntire has been asked to take on a
new role at Microsoft. Madelyn joined Microsoft and ATG in 1999 and has been
the Director of the team for four years. She will be taking on the role of
Product Unit Manager for the Digital Documents team in the Windows Division,
which is responsible for document handling within the operating system,
including scanning, printing, faxing. etc.

Microsoft is also delighted to announce that a new Director for the ATG has
been selected. Rob Sinclair joined Microsoft in 1997 and led the company's
efforts to deliver a powerful platform for creating accessible Windows
applications. He is one of the primary architects of UI Automation which will
revolutionize the way Assistive Technology (AT) products interface with
Windows applications.

Rob is also a key contributor to ten patents for accessibility related
inventions and is the sole inventor of two. He believes we have only begun to
unlock the possibilities for people with disabilities and is excited to be
leading Microsoft's efforts in this critical endeavor.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Rob worked in the software industry in a variety
of roles, including Design, Development, Testing, Documentation, Training and
Public Relations. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science
degrees in Computer Science and has incredible passion around user-centered
design and accessibility. He is an avid nature photographer, and many of his
photos hang on our office walls.

Rob is well suited to build upon Microsoft's 17 year history of continuous
innovation in this area.

Best regards,
