Send your opinion on Assistive Technology and Universal Design needs to the
White House.

On July 25th, President Clinton issued an Executive Memorandum on Assistive
Technology and Universal Design. The Memorandum requires the Interagency
Committee on Disability Research (ICDR), which is chaired by the National
Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) to prepare a
report identifying priority needs for the advancement of assistive
technologies and universal design capabilities.

Your individual participation is essential to the creation of useful and
timely recommendations to the President. The recommendations contained in
this report will contribute to the refinement of federal policy and procedure
to improve the development and transfer of assistive technology and universal
design capabilities.

The deadline is October 23, 2000.
