As the Web gains status and tries to become a tool for the common man,
there's a growing emphasis on making sure that everyone can drive the
information superhighway. Consultants who specialize in improving
technologies for the handicapped say that Web developers today are giving
more thought to accessibility, and tool providers are supporting them.

Making Web sites accessible is frequently just a matter of realizing that not
everyone has perfect vision or muscle control. Too often what seems
commonplace to most Web surfers is a major problem for those with
disabilities.
